Syi's Summary: Nanthaniel and his friend live in Little Pond where the vicar rule. From a certain time the vicar select a few children that come to age for teaching. Though when his friend Thomas was selected and went for a teaching for almost a week, came back changed. So when Orah was taken next, Nathaniel tried to save her but fail. So he got send to Temple City but made a trade with the vicar to let Orah go home and he will take her spot. But he went to a journey to find the keep with Orah and Thomas. They spent day and night finding a keeper to find the clues to the keep.

This book was really good. I would like to thank David for giving me a copy for a review. This book is really fabulous.
I really like the characters.
Nathaniel is okay and nice. He tried to save Orah from being teach about the darkness after what happen to Thomas.
Orah is very smart and figure out the clues about the keep. She's a weaver and really care about Nathaniel and Thomas her best friends.
Thomas was the first one out of his friends taken for teaching and came back changed. But follow Nathaniel and Orah in their journey.
