Book Rate: 9.6

This book was really good. Though I didn't read the first book but anyways I still got it. Well I have the third book si lucky me but the third book doesn't come out yet. It comes out in April 2013. Next year. There is a lot of my favorite books that comes out in 2013 and 2014. I just don't know why do we have to wait so long and talk about movies. They are even longer.

So anyways, Oakhurst is an academy for students that have magic and a orphanage for children's parents who died. Even if that school or academy don't let you have friends Spirit secretly made some friends and kept a secret from the teachers and others. That school isn't really fair. Since students's parents die and now they are lonedly and this school doesn't let them have friends.

Anyways look forward to book three.

But they all survived and took care of each other with kindness like a big family. This booki reminds me of a TV show that I watch. It was really sad. And this book is really similar to that TV show.

This book was okay though I got the advance copy of it. So there is so mistakes in it. But it was good. I enjoy reading it and want to read the second book to find out what happen to them. I think that Aria and that boy should go together and they really make a cute couple.

Anyways I didn't feel like doing quotes for this book because I am really tired.

So that is it for this book.

Book rate: 10<3

This book is FAB. I like the second book better in the Infernal Devices. But can't wai for the third book that is coming out in 2013. YAY but the Mortal Instruments's Six book is coming out 2014. UGH! So long. Can't wait that long. Whenit comes to books. I can't be patcient. Or I think I spell that wrong but oh well.

Here are some of the fantastic quotes:

"James Carstairs smiled back at her, elegant in his dark suit, his silver-fair- hair whipped bu the wind. His other hand rested on a jade-topped cane . . . . . . . "
Jem is so awesome and Fabulous.

"Of course Henr was there, but he seemed to be taking a gentle nap on a pile of books. . . . . "
Hahahaha! I bet my friend would get bad at him if he's sleeping on her books.

" . . . let me feast upon your liver. I will tear it from your body while you scream."
EWWWWWWW! But Oh Well. They're monsters anyways.

"You are a shadowhunter...you are not afraid of death. Of course I am . . . . Everybody is afraid of death."
Everybody is afraid of dying.

"oh, by the Angel,Will, do be quiet."
He's so talkitive.

"She's a mundane-an Ascendant,'Jem said quickly.'Soon to be my wife."
OMG! Tessa is going to be marry to Jem!

"Get off me.'Will shoved at him.'You don't understand. Your family's dead-"
How Mean Will!!

"Jem is dying anyway."
What Noooooooooo Jem Don't go.

"Maybe if you were a better instructor, she'd be a better listener."
Yeah, that's right. You lousy teacher.

"I've never been in here. I was starting to imagine he slept upside down, like a bat.
Whoa, Will's room is messy.

"Ni hen piao liang."
"What did you say?"
"I said your hair is coming undone."
Wow! Jem don't lie to a girl that you love.

"Jem, stop! Your violin-your lovely violin-you'll riun it."
No Jem! Don't destroy the things you love.

"Ni hen piao liang."
"What does that mean?, she wispered."
"It means that you are beautiful."
OMG! Jem you should have told her before and not now.

"I am not your Tessa either."
Isn't that a little bit harsh to say to Will.

"And may I say that you dazzle the eyes."
What kind of brother does Tessa have anyways."

"God, I'm jealous of every other man who looks at you."
Yup he's a weirdo.

"I am brave."
Well of course, Will.

"Charlotte, please, not the Silent City! Lock me up in the crypt, give me to the Council, but please do not send me alone to that- that graveyard! I shall die of fear!"
That won't happen if you didn't go out and betray to Clave like that.

"Torture him."
You should hebetray you.

"An entire carriage ride alone with Jem."
Lucky You. I want to ride in an entire carriage with Jem.

"Wo ai ni, Tessa,'he whispered.'Wo bu xiang shi qu ni."
"I love you.
And I don't want to lose you."
How Sweet Jem.

"Tessa Gray, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"
Jem <3 Tessa. Perfect Love.

"Yes, I will marry you, James Carstairs. Yes."
OMG! She said yes. Jem is going to be happy.

"I did it because I love you."
Oh No! Not another guy. Tessa ignore Will and marry to Jem.

Book Rate: 10

This book is also one that is by Cassandra Clare. Though I have read the Mortal Instruments and I think that I like the Mortal Instruments better. But I also have rewad the second book of this one and like it. So the first book of The Infernal Devices was boring. Well I shouldn' have said broing though it's doesn't have enough of the action like the second book Clockwork Prince.(Jem)

I think Jem and Tessa goes a long better like a love couple. Though Will is the one who always save her from trouble and Jem plays the violin which is so beautiful. Jem is so awesome, half- British and half- Chinese,(Awesome and fab). There is some word that i in Chinese which i know so I'm so happy. And thouse times is very funny whenever he speaks it.

Ok here are some of the fab quotes:

"James Carstairs! Jem! Where are you, you disloyal bastard?"
How mean Will!

"Do you often sleep tied to the bed?"
Will what kind of question is that.

"Though anyone wh looked like that wouldn't need to tie girls up and imprison them inorder to get them to marry him."
Well yeah unless they are pervents.

"He;s always having one of his days."
What kind of days does Jem have anyways.

"He eats everything....since he was twelve, he has. I suppose it's all the training that keeps him from gettingfat."
Fat Will!

"That's all right. he lowered the violin from his shoulder. You're Miss Gray, aren't you? The shape-changer girl. Will told me a it about you."
Jem have appeared. YAY!

"My mother was Chinese; my father was British."
OMG! That's so FAB!

"...snapping at Henry; it was like kicking a puppy"
Hahahahahaha! Funny.

"...I'm wearing blue. Blue goes with everything."
Yeah I know. Blue is also my favorite color.

"Magnus Bane is my lover."
Oh Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww. He;s gay in know.

"It was Nathaniel."
Oh Uh!

"He had a lovely smile."
Of course he does. He's gorgeous!

"...the name she have given me when I was born:Jian."
Such a beautiful name.

Well ok I'm donw with this book now. Less quotes on this one but wait til the second book Clockwork Prince.

Happy reading~

Expert:
Kara pushed herself to her feet. “We should probably make our way back to the mansion, Braeden.
        “Nope,” he said.
           “What do you mean, ‘no’?”
“You wanted to learn to fight. We haven’t trained today. We need to spar.”
She groaned. They’d been sparring. She’d healed dozens of bruises and even a broken finger, all evidence to the fact she was barely able to react in time to a sword coming at her face, much less a magical technique. She just wasn’t a very good fighter.
           “But—”
He laughed. “You’ll never get better if you don’t practice. Come on.”
             He drew his sword.
Her stomach twisted. “Right here? Seriously? On a ledge? Those are rapids!”
“Yes. Today, it’s all about controlling your opponent’s movement and fighting in difficult terrain. Since you aren’t strong in this environment, drive me back up the stairs and to the forest, where you have more room to move. Also, you should never be without a sword.”
           “But I don’t have one!”
            “That was my point.”
“Shouldn’t I practice one lesson at a time?”
In answer, he swung his sword at her arm. She pressed her back against the cave wall, ducking the blow seconds before the blade cut the air. Goose bumps crawled up her neck.
Braeden laughed. “The best way to learn is baptism by fire. Let’s go!”
Kara ducked another swing and looked around, but she had no tactical advantage. Braeden blocked her way to the stairs. She couldn’t run past him or—she glanced over the ledge at the tumbling river below. Nope, she was not jumping into that. Her only escape was a nearby hole in a ledge that ran above her like a catwalk. If she could—
Braeden shifted his weight onto the balls of his feet, apparently ready to lunge and end this whole bout before it began.
No time to think. Just go.
Kara sprinted away, toward the gap. Braeden followed, and Kara jumped for the ledge seconds before he lunged. She grabbed the walkway, the splinters of rock digging into her arms as her momentum lifted her legs out of Braeden’s passing reach.
His fingers brushed her ankle, sending a shiver up her leg. She resisted the impulse to smile at the tingling sensation his touch left behind. It made her think of his hand on her back, of their kiss—
                “Clever!” he said.
                Focus, Kara.
She pulled herself onto the ledge and wished she had a witty response, but she’d learned that lesson the hard way during an earlier match. She had distracted herself by talking, instead of distracting him like she’d hoped. Braeden had tripped her and knocked her clean onto her back. Dialogue was yet another weapon, one that required practice. Let the better fighters banter. Lesser fighters focus.
Kara got to her feet and raced along the upper pathway toward the waterfall, her satchel bouncing against her back while she ran as fast as she could. Braeden would be faster, but she had to try.
The ledge curved around a bend in the cave. Her feet pounded against the rock, sending shards of cave wall sprinkling to the ground below. The walkway likely hadn’t seen action like this in its lifetime. She hoped it wouldn’t crumble.
Braeden’s steps echoed from under her as the edge of the catwalk came into view. It would end about ten feet before the stairs, so she picked up her pace. She couldn’t slow down, or Braeden would catch her.
                  Five feet away, now.
                  Two feet—
                  Jump!
Kara kept her eyes where she wanted to go, just as Braeden had taught her the last time they’d sparred. She’d tried to jump from a tree and wound up in a bramble bush.
Instinct and a dozen failed attempts in prior matches told her to tuck her head, to curl onto her shoulder and let the momentum propel her forward.
Rocks dug into her neck and shoulder before pushing against her back, but nothing stung. She rolled back onto her feet and took off again, not daring to look back for Braeden. She would probably trip if she did.
She grinned, adrenaline numbing her fingertips as she ran. She had no earthly idea how she would do it again, but to hell with it. She’d finally rolled!
Kara followed the path as it curved and disappeared behind the waterfall. The water misted along her neck, blocking all light as she passed behind it. She let her feet find the stairs as she bolted up two at a time. Braeden’s light breaths came from somewhere in the darkness behind her.
Green sunlight illuminated the top of the stairs, the light blocked by a thick canopy of trees. Brown blurs came into view—bark. There would be a root right when she rounded the last stair, so she had to be careful not to—
Kara’s foot hooked on the root anyway.
She shot forward and skidded along the dirt path. Sticks left gouges in her arms. Her cheek stung. She wiped her hand over her face, but that just made the stinging worse. Blood stained her fingers when she pulled away.
A sword glinted in Kara’s peripheral vision. She sprung to her feet. Braeden stood a short way off, without a scratch on him. He grinned.
“Falling was an interesting choice,” he said.
“Cute.” Kara rolled her eyes and brushed dust off her clothes.
