Book Review: Oppression

Book review: Oppression

Oppression by Jessica Therrien

Book Summary:  Elyse knows what it means to keep a secret. She's been keeping secrets her whole life. Two, actually. First, that she ages five times slower than the average person, so that while she looks eighteen years old, she's closer to eighty. Second, that her blood has a mysterious power to heal. For Elyse, these things don't make her special. They make life dangerous. After the death of her parents, she's been careful to keep her secret as closely guarded as possible. Now, only one other person in the world knows about her age and ability. Or so she thinks. Elyse is not the only one keeping secrets. There are others like her all over the world, descendants of the very people the Greeks considered gods. She is one of them, and they have been waiting for her for a long time. Among so many of her kind, she should not be very remarkable--except for the prophecy. Some believe she will put an end to traditions, safeguarded by violence, which have oppressed her people for centuries. Others are determined to keep her from doing just that. But for Elyse, the game is just beginning--and she's not entirely willing to play by their rules.

This book is amazing and want to thank Jessica for sending me this awesome book for me to review. I really enjoy reading this book. I really like it and the characters and the descendants are really interesting. I really enjoy reading about Greek Gods, they are really interesting to read.

Ellie at first was really stubborn and doesn't want to listen to anyone because she doesn't know them. Then she was drag into a whole total different world that she didn't even know about until she met William who was the first one to discover her.

Everyone of the descendants was waiting for Ellie because she was the last healer and is the only one that could save their lives against the Council. I find this book really interesting because of all those details. And besides I like reading these kinds of book. There are fascinating. Though most of the readers love to read Romances book which is not really my type. Though if I like it in some books that is really interesting like this one. This book romance is really okay, but I'm not really the type to read Romance books but I love reading Fantasy and Dystopian books. But some romances scenes in the books is already fabulous for me.

Though this book is totally awesome. I really recommend all readers to read this book. I really hope you do. It's really great and you guys will enjoy it. I enjoy reading it. And really want to read the second book pretty badly. I want to know what is going to happen to Ellie and her friend and her descendants friends.

Okay so I ask Jessica for an Interview and haven't send the questions to her yet but you could look forward to the Author interview.
